Media: an important function has been removed from the iPhone
Apple has removed support for web applications from the iPhone, reports 9to5Mac.
As noted, previously in the operating system of Apple devices it was possible to use the function of creating web applications. Thus, the device owner could add shortcuts to sites on the main screen, and then use them as a stand-alone application, that is, in full screen, as well as with active notifications. After the update, this feature became unavailable, and now shortcuts can only be opened in the built-in Safari browser.
The material says that the previously working function is disabled at least for users from EU countries. In Russia, this function was used to work with the websites of Russian services and companies whose applications were removed from the App Store.
