American corporation Apple released update of the iOS 17.3 operating system, which fixed a number of errors and also improved protection against smartphone theft. The update is already available for all iPhone users starting with model X.

The new anti-theft feature now relies not on a screen lock password, but on the use of biometric data – using Face ID or fingerprint scanning. Without them, you won’t be able to view saved passwords or manage user profile settings.

There is also a time delay of an hour when changing the Apple ID password or iPhone lock password – as Apple says, this will prevent attackers from accessing the most important functions. The password change delay will be activated in unusual places other than home or work. You can activate the “anti-theft” function through the “Settings” application and the “Face ID and passcode” section.

iOS 17.3 also added a feature for shared playlists in Apple Music. The update also added the ability to broadcast content to TVs in select hotels.
