American corporation Apple released update to the iOS 17.0.3 operating system, in which the company fixed the overheating problem of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Previously, users started en masse complainthat their new iPhone 15s are getting very hot, and in some cases the devices have shut down due to overheating.
As Apple found out, the problem arose due to applications like Instagram (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and banned), Uber and others, which also actively used the A17 Pro processor – this led to cooling problems. Apple has optimized the performance of applications and the operating system, and now devices should not overheat.
Apple said the overheating issue was not related to the new titanium case, as some industry analysts had previously claimed. For example, Ming-Chi Kuo suggested that because of the titanium case, Apple has made compromises in terms of cooling smartphones, and only slowing down the processor will solve the problem. Apple said it has no plans to reduce the performance of the A17 Pro’s processor, and the titanium body allows for better heat dissipation than the steel frames in previous iPhones.
