So, before the match in Zhigulevsk, the famous Spartak veteran spoke in a conversation with a RB Sport correspondent.

And exactly what the red and white fans were afraid of happened. At the stadium “Crystal” Togliatti team “humiliated” another Moscow club. This victory was Akron’s fourth in a row over the capital’s teams in the current Russian Cup. Only the army team remain “unbeaten”, but, as they say, it’s not over yet…

In a double-edged game, “Spartak” managed to earn a penalty, but it was disgustingly shot by Keita Balde. The goalkeeper of the hosts Sergei Volkov, one might say, “without straining” coped with the blow of Spartak’s incompetence. And then Akron won. Venezuelan Ponce in the 41st minute with a radio-controlled headbutt sent the football sphere into Maksimenko’s goal. At the second goal of the Moscow team, the defenders of Spartak watched football, and not even in Zhigulevsk. How else can one explain the fact that no one at all prevented Saltykov from Togliatti from doubling the score – and also with a headbutt.

Spartak didn’t do much after the break. You can only single out Zinkovsky, who at least ran and tried to play on the attack. It was from his transfer that Tavares scored, who aimed the leather football projectile into the hosts’ net. The intrigue seemed to come to life, but Spartak lacked neither skill, nor luck, and most importantly, desire. “Akron” fairly won, and “Spartak” returns to the capital without salty slurping.

The hosts should note the coach Evgeny Kaleshin and the team’s goalkeeper Sergei Volkov. The first one superbly “played” the line-up and the team in the Cup, and the second one “dragged” with all his might both non-catching balls, and, most importantly, penalty kicks. The only legionnaire of the team, Venezuelan Andres Ponce, who played eight matches for the national team of his country, is another plus for Akron. Defender Jamaladin Khodzhaniyazov, who once played several matches for Zenit, can also be noted as a “pillar” of defense. The rest of the players are little known … were. Now the entire football community is talking about them.
