In the village of Taitsy, Leningrad Region, the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained 14 participants in a home anti-war exhibition, including artists and activists Yulia Gornova, Vitaly Ioffe, Tatiana Sichkareva, Elina Kozich, Nina Ryabushkina, Marianna Khanukova, Ekaterina Statsenko, and Vlada Makeichik, a correspondent for Sota .
As the Telegram channel writes “Honeycombs”, initially, under the pretext of checking documents, the security forces detained artist Yulia Gornova and activist Vitaly Ioffe. The rest of those gathered decided to leave the apartment through the window, but they were also stopped by the police near the house.
All the detainees are being taken to the Gatchina Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Leningrad Region. SOTAVision claims that they are suspected of “theft”.
It is noted that the exhibition, dedicated to May 9, presented the works of St. Petersburg artists against the fighting.
We add that on May 8 in the city of Priozersk, Leningrad region, the police also detained artist and art activist Katrin Nenasheva. According to her, law enforcement officers explained this by the fact that she received an orientation. In March last year, Katrin Nenasheva created the I Stay project for those who cannot or do not want to leave Russia.
