Anti-government rallies against criminal law reform took place in Slovakia
Anti-government rallies took place in Bratislava and other cities of Slovakia. Those gathered opposed the authorities’ plans to carry out a large-scale reform of criminal legislation.
It is clarified that about 27 thousand people took part in the rally that took place the day before in Bratislava. Local media clarified that opposition parties have announced several more similar rallies, which are to take place in 14 cities of the country in the near future.
“The authorities thought that we would not protest against amendments to criminal legislation. He underestimated your willingness to defend justice. Robert Fico does not yet understand that we are ready to go to rallies as many times as required,” said Mikhail Šimečka, head of the Progresivne Slovensko party.
