Another protocol was drawn up against Novaya Gazeta about discrediting the Russian army. The Tagansky Court of Moscow received an administrative case against the media. This follows from the materials of the court.
The case under Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in order to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens” – rev. ed.) against Novaya was registered on January 11, 2023. The date of the meeting has not yet been set. There is also no information for which material the report was drawn up. The sanction of the article provides for a fine of 300 to 500 thousand.
This is not the first protocol that is drawn up for Novaya Gazeta. In July, the Simonovsky Court of Moscow fined the newspaper 300,000 rubles for making fake stories about the Russian army. The violation protocol was drawn up because of a video message from the editor-in-chief of Novaya Dmitriy Muratov, in which he spoke about the events in Ukraine.
The Khamovniki Court of Moscow also fined Novaya Gazeta journalist Ilbyu Azar for his post on social networks. The message was considered discrediting by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, writes Lenta.ru.
