Another ex-fiancé of Volochkova ended up in jail

Businessman Dmitry Duran, suspected of fraud, was detained in the center of Moscow. According to investigators, about two years ago the businessman borrowed about 100 million rubles from about 50 investors to develop his confectionery business, but then disappeared along with the money. A criminal case was opened in the spring of 2022, at which time the man was put on the wanted list.

By data Mash, Duran has already been arrested and sent to a pre-trial detention center.

This man is known not only in narrow circles as a representative of the confectionery business, but also as a friend of the ballerina Anastasia Volochkova. In the past, the couple even announced their intention to get married.

At the same time, Volochkova herself, when asked to comment on Duran’s criminal case, stated that she had never had a close relationship with him and only communicated in a friendly manner. In a conversation with “Rise” she statedthat the statements about the wedding were just a joke, that the man brought confectionery to the dancer’s performances for the entire troupe, and not just for her. The artist also assured that she had never noticed anything bad about her friend, and believes that he could have become a victim of circumstances.

“It’s just that this situation has happened now,” Volochkova said. “Any person can be framed.”

In May of this year, it became known about the criminal case of another former friend of Volochkova – Sergei Kuznetsov, who had a stormy but short-lived affair with the ballerina that ended in scandal. Kuznetsov’s young wife accused him of severe beating. Later, the woman stated that she had forgiven her husband and intended to save the family, but by a court decision, Kuznetsov would remain in pre-trial detention at least until October.
