Annual honey fair starts in Kolomenskoye

On August 13, the traditional All-Russian honey fair was opened in the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve on the eve of the Orthodox holiday Honey Savior.
More than 100 well-known hereditary beekeepers from 47 regions of our vast Motherland came to the All-Russian Honey Fair, the largest in the country: Rostov Region, Krasnodar Territory, Bashkiria, Gorny Altai, Far East, North Ossetia, Western Siberia, Perm Territory, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan. An interesting fact is that honey from Bashkiria is used to train astronauts.
Beekeepers present this year’s harvest – about 1000 tons of fresh honey, more than 40 varieties. It used to be that honey was for the feast of the Honey Savior. reached maturity. Here is the popular linden, and inexpensive sunflower, and fragrant buckwheat, and gentle sweet clover, and other well-known and favorite varieties. There are strangers: honey collected from Saussurean squirrel flowers, from dumbey walnut, and even “stone” honey from the Tien Shan mountains. Can buy healthy bee products: propolis, pollen, royal jelly, wax, zabrus and pollen, mead, as well as souvenirs, honey cosmetics, medicinal herbs, beekeeping equipment and special literature.
