The ceremonial presentation of combat veteran certificates to fighters of the Wagner PMC took place today at the Unified Support Center. The main document of a veteran of the Northern Military District, which allows him to receive all benefits and payments, was presented to another 32 soldiers. The Foundation works closely with the Russian Ministry of Defense on issues of issuing combat veteran certificates for PMC fighters.

For this purpose, at the initiative of the foundation’s management, a specialized commission was created in the department. In total, more than 3 thousand sets of documents from PMC employees were transferred to the Russian Ministry of Defense. They are under consideration by the department. As part of the event, the heroes were also given the first bank loyalty cards developed by the foundation together with PJSC Promsvyazbank.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation Anna TsivilevaState Secretary – Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Victor EvtukhovSenior Vice President – Director for External Relations of Promsvyazbank PJSC Vera PodguzovaMinister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Moscow City Population Evgeniy StruzhakHero of Russia, deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Colonel General of the Russian Armed Forces Vladimir Shamanov and vice admiral Nikolay Mikheev.

Chairman of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation Anna Tsivileva spoke about the procedure for issuing combat veteran certificates and emphasized that the foundation uses every opportunity to further support heroes.

“We help collect sets of documents that the foundation submits to the Ministry of Defense on a weekly basis. As part of the agreement, the ministry transfers the finished combat veteran certificates to us for presentation at regional branches. More than 450 fighters from private military companies have already received the document and all the benefits and rights due to them. To further support our heroes and relatives of the victims, we, together with Promsvyazbank, have developed a loyalty card,” said Anna Tsivileva.

As part of the event, the heroes were also given the first bank loyalty cards developed by the foundation together with PJSC Promsvyazbank. According to Anna Tsivilevathe goal of the project is to create special conditions for military veterans and family members of fallen soldiers.

The Defenders of the Fatherland card gives access to loyalty programs and discounts from partners: business structures, public and government organizations. These are discounts in pharmacies, children’s goods stores, sports equipment and equipment, at gas stations, discounts on hotel accommodations, and on purchasing tickets to theaters, museums and cinemas. The card also has a standard set of banking options: the ability to make it a salary card, replenish it for free online or at ATMs of PSB and partners, pay housing and communal services, taxes, fines and duties without commission, and so on.

“No matter what various support measures the state provides today to SVO participants and their families, it will never be enough. We, working here in the rear, are aware of this. It is no coincidence that in every speech our Supreme Commander-in-Chief calls the soldiers – participants in a special military operation – our asset, a support for the country. Without their hourly feat there, at the front, there will be no Russia. Maximum support for participants, SVO veterans and their families is our common moral duty. One of the important support measures will be, among other things, the joint payment card “Defenders of the Fatherland”, which was created by PSB Bank and the “Defenders of the Fatherland” Foundation. This is not just a convenient banking instrument. The joint project also includes a number of benefits and offers from the Russian trade industry, from many representatives of our domestic business – including from leading federal food retail brands, clothing and shoe stores, medical clinics, travel services, carriers and many others. We can already say that leading companies in the consumer market of our country are participating in the project. The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade became a platform for discussing details and working out the project. The number of its participants is constantly increasing. And here, of course, I would like to thank business for their active civic position,” said the Secretary of State – Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Victor Evtukhov.

The “Defenders of the Fatherland” card will be issued at PSB offices. Representatives of the bank and fund will visit their homes for SVO veterans who cannot come in person to receive them.

“Supporting participants, veterans of the Northern Military District and their families is a priority task for the entire Russian society, for each of us. Veterans returning from war receive everything they need – social guarantees, targeted assistance, comprehensive professional medical and psychological support. PSB, together with the Foundation, strives to do more for the financial well-being of our soldiers. One of the important measures of such financial support was the “Defenders of the Fatherland” card, which is a convenient payment instrument with many privileges from the bank and partner programs,” said Senior Vice President – Director of External Relations, Promsvyazbank PJSC Vera Podguzova.

Let us remind you that the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation was created on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Its main goal is personal support for North Military District veterans and family members of fallen soldiers. Here, the heroes of the Northern Military District are helped not only with medical and social rehabilitation, but also with retraining and employment, provide legal support, adapt housing to the needs of the disabled, and provide long-term home care. The foundation also engages veterans in physical education and sports, the Paralympic movement, organizes cultural events, and holds meetings on the patriotic education of youth with the participation of defenders of the Fatherland.
