Singer and blogger Anna Kalashnikova bought an apartment in Spain seven years ago. At the time, this acquisition seemed very successful and completely problem-free to her. But due to the coronavirus epidemic, and then the start of a military special operation, Kalashnikova had problems maintaining the apartment. She herself could not get to her home on the sea coast for several years. Anna shared the details with MK.

Imagine, Europe has closed its borders to us again. As soon as I spent a month and a half there and established old connections in Monaco, France, Spain, the direct route was closed again. That’s why we’re going through Turkey. Three years ago I was in my apartment in Torrevieja, near Alicante, and since then I couldn’t get there, and now it just happened. You just can’t imagine: three days in the forest, two days in the field to get there. Three flights – more than 40 hours. And the same amount back. I checked my apartment, thank God everything is fine. It is clear that cleaning is required. I installed bars there, changed the locks, and installed cameras. Everything is done in Spain for a very long time and slowly. Well, of course, they live luxuriously, imposingly, they are still hot. So I had to spend more than a week there. Fortunately, Russians are treated well by local residents there, although officially Spain has a bad attitude towards the actions of the Russian authorities. By the way, there are a lot of Russians there. Panin, somewhere in the vastness of the city, is shaking with its noise. And there is the best sea. I’ve been to Monaco, Nice, France, Greece, I’ve flown around many islands, but in our city we have the best sea, although this is not a luxury place. Everything is still cheap there, I even bought dry shampoo for half the price in Russia. I immediately took five pieces. I’m not greedy, but it’s just hard to get. I was getting my child ready for school there and actually brought two suitcases of things.

– Who is watching your apartment now when you are not there?

– The real estate agency through which I bought an apartment. Indeed, all these three years there was no one to look after the housing, because no one had the keys to the apartment. We were very afraid of the invasion of the invaders. There’s a serious problem with this. According to Spanish laws, if they start living there and say that this is their only shelter, you do not have the right to kick them out, although this is your apartment. So for now I have given the keys to an agency that will keep an eye on it. In Spain it is humid, fungus can appear in the apartment, or whatever. Moreover, it is five minutes from the sea. It is imperative to ventilate, and now there is someone to do it.
