Ani Lorak responded to threats to remove her from the air of the Russian TV channel

Singer Ani Lorak (real name Carolina Kuek) posted a post on her social network page in which she responded to Vitaly Borodin’s call and threats to remove her from NTV’s airwaves due to the artist’s ambiguous position on a special military operation and possible assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The performer said that this is “false information.” “I have never provided and do not intend to provide military assistance to anyone, as this contradicts everything that I believe in. I’m a singer, not a politician,” said the Ukrainian artist, adding that she has been helping orphans for many years.

“I myself went through a boarding school, so I help families, refugees from Ukraine. This is targeted assistance to people who have lost their homes,” she shared the details.

Earlier, the head of the Federal Project for Security and Anti-Corruption, Vitaly Borodin, called for Ani Lorak to be removed from NTV airwaves (Lorak was on the jury of the new season of the children’s musical TV show “You’re Super!”, in which children without parental care take part).

In his address, he recalled that the star had not yet expressed his position on the special military operation. “People don’t understand who she is and who she supports,” Borodin explained, threatening to write a number of appeals, including to the head of NTV, asking to remove Ani Lorak from Russian television.

At the end of August, Borodin also expressed his indignation that the singer was going to perform in Moscow. Then he also pointed to the ambiguous position of the performer regarding the CBO.

Some time later, reports appeared in the media that Borodin wrote a letter to the governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, asking him to cancel the Lorak concert, which was scheduled for September 27 at Crocus City Hall.
