Andrey Zayakin, co-founder of Dissernet, was assigned a ban on certain actions in the case for the FBK donation

In Moscow yesterday, August 28, the co-founder of Dissernet and journalist Andrei Zayakin was detained. A criminal case was opened against him under the article on the financing of extremist activities (part 1, article 282.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Dissernet is engaged in the search for plagiarism in the scientific works of Russian scientists. Among other things, community members insisted on depriving ex-Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky of the degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences. Andrey Zayakin specializes in academic and scientific investigations and Russian elections.
