Anastasia Rakova: The All-Russian Center for Gifted Blind Children has opened enrollment for the new school year

The acceptance of applications for entrance examinations to the All-Russian Center for Gifted Blind Children has begun in Moscow. You can submit documents to official portal Boarding school No. 1.

“Our goal is to create conditions so that children, regardless of their health conditions, can learn and realize their talents. For more than two years now, a center of federal significance has been operating in the capital, where gifted blind schoolchildren achieve their first successes in the world of big science. In addition to studying the school curriculum, here students can also decide on their future specialty,” said Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Anastasia Rakova.

She added that applications for training in the new academic year are open. A specially developed assessment procedure is used for selection. Entrance tests take place in 2 stages. The first is online testing; it will take place simultaneously for all regions, taking into account time zones. The second is an online interview. As a result, 8 gifted future 6th graders from different regions of the country will be enrolled in the center.

Last year, the center held its second intake; based on its results, children from the Krasnoyarsk and Khabarovsk territories, Nizhny Novgorod, Orenburg and Ryazan regions and Moscow were accepted. During their studies, the children have already shown their first academic achievements, and also demonstrated themselves in sports and creative projects and competitions.
