The first stage of selection of socially oriented NGOs that apply for the provision of premises for free use from the city took place in the capital. At the moment, 29 Moscow NPOs can continue to provide targeted services demanded by citizens in the spaces transferred to them three years ago.
“The capital strives to support long-term assistance programs for NGOs and highly values the contribution of partners to the development of the social sphere. Together we are expanding the unique ecosystem of care for Muscovites: NGOs complement the city’s work with the best practices of targeted assistance. Support from the capital, including property, allows non-profit organizations to reach even more citizens with help and increases the availability of services,” said Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Anastasia Rakova. She added that on the eve of the New Year, the results of the first stage of selection were summed up, and 29 NPOs will continue to work at addresses already known to citizens. In addition, they will receive property support for another 3 years.
The vice mayor clarified that more than 30% of the selected NGOs became winners of the “Moscow is a Good City” grant competition. Comprehensive support will help them work more systematically and sustainably. Over the next 3 years, the winning NGOs will provide support to more than 105 thousand Muscovites. At the second stage, applications from new applicants will be selected – they will receive 24 premises. The stage starts at the beginning of 2024.
