The New York Post newspaper, citing The Jerusalem Post editor-in-chief Avi Mayer, reported that at the New York airport, an Orthodox Jew bought tickets for men flying to Israel who had received summonses from the IDF.
As Mayer said, this mysterious man stood near the El Al ticket office and quietly bought tickets for those who showed him a notice of call to the Israel Defense Forces.
In total, he bought 250 tickets.
The airline itself said it was receiving many requests from people who would like to purchase tickets for Israelis returning to the country due to the announced mobilization.
