The device operates by blocking the Bluetooth channel of the headphones, which attracts the attention of pedestrians crossing the railway tracks and allows them to hear the noise alarm. This can significantly reduce the likelihood of accidents and improve the safety of all road users.

However, before jammers are put into practice, it is necessary to conduct full tests at crossings with the installation of video cameras. This approach will allow us to record people’s reactions to turning off their headphones and evaluate the effectiveness of the device. It is important to note that if pedestrians search for their phones instead of paying attention to signals, this will not help prevent possible accidents.

Experts note potential shortcomings of the system. Blocking all Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signals around a device can affect the performance of not only smartphones, but also other equipment, including medical equipment. This requires additional study and careful testing to minimize possible negative consequences. In addition, devices for jamming wireless communications are not licensed in Russia, which makes their use difficult.
