The exclusive medal of the Pskov marathon “Mekhuborka-2024”, which each athlete will receive at the finish line, was presented by the organizer of the Pskov marathon “Mekhuborka-2024” Alexander Kuzmin during a briefing at the public press center of PLN, reports the correspondent of “MK in Pskov”.
“The shape of the medal is a diamond. This also correlates with the fact that the current year 2024 has been declared the Year of the Family in Russia. And we will host many competitions – triathlon, half marathon, marathon… With all these events we want to unite people so that they come to Pskov more often and stay with us,” added Alexander Kuzmin.
The journey of the medals began in 2016, when the first marathon was held, and the commemorative awards were still wooden, recalled co-organizer Arthur Ekabson.
Every year, medals are made according to the sketches and ideas of Alexander Kuzmin and Arthur Ekabson.
“According to our idea, each participant will become part of the sports heart,” added Kuzmin.
Let us remind you that on Sunday, April 21, a sports race will be held in Pskov – the Mekhuborka-2024 marathon.
