An ex-policeman has been appointed to the position of General Director of FC Chaika

Former policeman Igor Goncharov became the new general director of FC Chaika. Previously, he held senior positions in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The club management announced the personnel changes on March 26 on social networks.

At his previous place of work, Igor Goncharov held a senior position in the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Rostov Region.

In parallel with this, Honorarov is a master of sports in mini-football. Among his awards is a silver medal at the Russian Championship as part of Norilsk Nickel. Last 2023, he played in the “45 plus” age category in a mini-football tournament and was recognized as the best player.

Previously, the position of General Director was held by Maxim Ponomarev. For reasons unknown to anyone, the football club terminated the contract with him.
