Maxim Rukhtin, an employee of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in Buryatia, became the champion of the Open Interregional Open Water Swimming Festival of the Trans-Baikal Territory “ZabSwimFestMax 2023”. The competitions were held in the Chita region of the Trans-Baikal Territory on Lake Arakhley from July 29 to 30, the press service of the regional Federal Penitentiary Service.
More than 150 participants competed in the individual and relay races. Maxim Rukhtin won first place in the age category from 40 to 49 years at a distance of 5000 meters, showing a result of 1 hour 23 minutes 26 seconds, and also at a distance of 6700 meters with a result of 2 hours 25 minutes 3 seconds. In addition, the swimmer won the third place in the open age category at a distance of 5000 meters.
The winners and prize-winners of the festival were awarded with medals and certificates.
The press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service for Buryatia notes that in April of this year, Maxim Rukhtin was awarded the title of Honorary Donor of Russia.
