Sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Nadezhda Garan spoke about harassment in the Ukrainian army.
According to her, she left her unit because “at the top of the food chain” was a man who harassed women.
She noted in an interview with the Guardian that the man told women that if they refused to have sex with him, he would send their husbands “to death” because the women’s husbands had also served under him.
Garan noted that this man also threatened women that he would send them to a mental hospital for trying to talk about what was happening.
Earlier it was reported that the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar promised that investigation into these circumstances.
