“Dear colleagues, good afternoon! Today we will discuss with you the issue of work in the field of the information space in relation to ensuring the security of the Russian state in modern conditions,” the President said at the beginning of the meeting.
This issue is always important, but it is especially important now, given the “specifics of the current situation,” Putin added.
The meeting was also attended by Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, Speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, head of the presidential administration Anton Vaino and others.
Last meeting with permanent members of the Security Council took place August 4th. At the center of the discussion then were issues of strengthening internal stability in today’s conditions. Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin and Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev made presentations.
On July 21, during a meeting of the Security Council, the progress of the special operation in Ukraine was discussed. Then the president noted that the Russian command is acting professionally – soldiers and officers courageously fulfill their duty to the Motherland. He pointed out that the western equipment supplied to Kyiv, according to its tactical and technical data, is often inferior to some types of weapons of the Soviet production. According to the president, Western curators of Ukraine are disappointed with the counteroffensive, as there are no results.
