The attackers were able to steal more than 12 million rubles from a 66-year-old resident of Volgograd. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region.
It is clarified that an unknown fraudster called the pensioner, introducing himself as a bank employee, saying that someone allegedly tried to take out a loan for her. As a result, unknown persons convinced an elderly Russian woman that she needed to transfer money to a supposedly safe account so that her funds would be safe.
As a result, the pensioner transferred 12.5 million rubles to an unknown account.
Law enforcement agencies opened a criminal case on this fact. The search for the criminals began.
