The Kostroma Regional Committee for Physical Education and Sports and the Sharya martial arts club “Spartan” report the important achievement of wrestler Nikita Vinogradov, who won a bronze medal at the Russian Junior Jiu-Jitsu Championship last weekend in St. Petersburg.
More than 800 of the strongest junior athletes aged 16-17 years from 40 regions and republics of Russia came to St. Petersburg for this tournament. Many of them are black belt holders and members of the Russian national team in 2023 and 2024.
However, Nikita Vinogradov, an athlete from Sharya, withstood the competition and, in a bitter struggle, took the third step on the podium, receiving a bronze medal and with it a ticket to the reserve of the Russian national jiu-jitsu team for this year. His mentor-coach Evgeniy Uskov shares his well-deserved pride in Nikita Vinogradov with his parents.
