An athlete from Sakhalin became the best at the All-Russian shooting competitions

Sakhalin athlete Olga Averkina became the owner of the gold medal of the open Russian Cup in shooting, the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports reported.
The competitions were held in the Lisya Nora shooting complex near Moscow and brought together more than 350 outstanding athletes from Russia and the Republic of Belarus.
Olga Averkina competed in the Olympic shooting event VP-60 (standing air rifle shooting, 60 shots). In the final series of the qualifying start, she showed an impressive result – 107.6 points, and scored a total of 631.2 points, taking first place and advancing to the final.
In the final, Olga competed with experienced athletes, winners of the Olympic Games, World and European Championships – Anastasia Galashina, Yulia Karimova, Daria Maslennikova and Violetta Odinaeva. The Sakhalin athlete successfully overcame all the tests and reached the match for the first place, where she won with a score of 16:14, winning the gold medal.
