An all-style karate tournament was held in Stavropol

More than 200 athletes took part in the competition
On the basis of the 247th Guards Air Assault Caucasian Cossack Regiment, the Regional Branch of DOSAAF Russia of the Stavropol Territory, together with the Karate Federation, held an all-style karate tournament dedicated to the Hero of the Russian Federation Maxim Shikin.
The tournament is being held for the second time and is becoming an annual event. More than 200 athletes took part in the competition. The opening ceremony of the competition was attended by the Chairman of the Regional Branch of DOSAAF of Russia of the Stavropol Territory Yuri Grishko, the head of the Military Training Center at NCFU Vladimir Bashtovoy, the head coach of the Russian karate team Viktor Mashchenko, the chief judge of the competition Ivan Kiryanov, the father of the Hero of Russia – Igor Vasilyevich Shikin.
– I am glad that after a break due to the pandemic, large karate competitions are again taking place in our society. “Everyone who stepped onto the tatami is already an example for their peers,” said Yuri Grishko.
At the end of the competition, the guests presented certificates to masters and candidates for master of sports, and also awarded the winners.
