Guardian: Sudan complained about excessive Western attention to Ukraine
British newspaper Guardian reported that against the backdrop of conflicts in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip, Western countries are forgetting about the civil war in Sudan.
It is clarified that at the moment, various international humanitarian organizations and the diaspora understand that the problems of Sudan are competing with the conflicts in the Gaza Strip and Ukraine.
“In the eight months that have passed since the aggravation in Sudan, American President Joe Biden has not sent a special envoy to Sudan, as previous presidents of the United States of America did,” the newspaper noted.
According to former chief of staff to US Ambassador to Sudan Cameron Hudson, he does not believe there are insufficient current US resources to combat the humanitarian crisis in Sudan.
“Now even the Sudanese themselves are complaining about the excessive attention of Western countries to Ukraine,” noted the head of the British research organization Shabaka, Bashair Ahmed.
