The assessments expressed by the United States about the visit of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to Russia provoked a reaction from the Russian Federation, which considers them a manifestation of double standards. The Russian Ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, noted this in his commentary, which was published in the Telegram channel of Russian diplomacy.

According to Antonov, Moscow has the right to independently decide with whom to interact. He added that the United States has no right to instruct Russia on how to live.

The diplomat also noted that double standards on the part of Washington no longer surprise anyone. In his opinion, the United States can supply weapons to Ukraine, but military-technical cooperation between Russia and other countries is considered illegal according to the logic of the White House.

Earlier, the White House National Security Council’s strategic communications coordinator, John Kirby, warned that North Korea could face consequences from the United States and other countries if it cooperates with Russia in the field of arms supplies. However, he noted that the United States is not currently actively discussing the issue with its key allies.
