About 50 aircraft were redirected to alternate airports during the restrictions on the work of 4 airports in Moscow in the morning. This is reported in the Federal Air Transport Agency.
“… flights to Moscow airports Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo are limited, as well as to Zhukovsky airport,” the message says.
In this connection, the representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency added, 45 flights with passengers and 2 flights with cargo were redirected to alternate airports in Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod and St. Petersburg.
After the termination of security measures (from 08:30 Moscow time), passengers of the named flights will be delivered to the designated airports.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that a Ukrainian UAV was spotted in the Moscow region on August 21, after the operation of electronic warfare equipment, it crashed in the Ruzsky district. Later, the ministry said that another enemy drone was found and eliminated by air defense forces over the territory of the Istra district of the Moscow region.
