All-Russian competitions in northern all-around have started in Novy Urengoy

On December 6, the grand opening of the Russian Cup in northern all-around was held at the Zvezdny Palace in the gas capital. This was reported in the press service of the city administration.
Delegations of athletes from the Krasnoyarsk and Khabarovsk Territories, Magadan and Tyumen Regions, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Yamalo-Nenets, Khanty-Mansiysk, Chukotka and Nenets Autonomous Okrugs, the Evenki Municipal District arrived in Novy Urengoy.
The athletes were greeted by the deputy head of the city, Stas Chernavskikh, and the president of the Russian Northern All-Around Federation, Alexei Voroshilov.
Participants will compete in a triple jump with a two-foot take-off, a jump over a sled, a run with a stick, throwing an ax for a distance and a tynzyan for a trochee. The winners will be determined in the individual competition and in the team championship.
The Russian Cup is the main stage for preparing for the Russian championship in northern all-around, which will be held next spring in Magadan.
Earlier, another large-scale all-Russian competition took place in Novy Urengoy – snow volleyball.
