A court in Kaluga arrested all four suspects in the kidnapping of a girl from Kozelsk. This was reported by the press service of the court.
37-year-old Irina Novikova, her 40-year-old husband Arkady, 21-year-old son Andrei and 44-year-old ex-husband Dmitry were arrested.
“The court chose a preventive measure for all four suspects in the form of detention for a period of two months, which may subsequently be extended,” the court said.
For kidnapping a child, those detained face up to 12 years in prison.
Let us remember that Arkady was convicted of murder. In court, the attackers said that the idea to kidnap the child belonged to Arkady, everyone else allegedly knew nothing, and when they found out, they tried to dissuade him. However, they eventually took the child from Kozelsk to the village of Kasyanovo and demanded a ransom of 1.5 million rubles from the parents. But then, afraid of the resonance, they took her to the Tula region and left her on the street there.
