Alexander Shabliy defeated Patricky Freire and reached the Bellator Grand Prix final

Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Alexander Shabliy defeated former Bellator champion Patricky Freire from Brazil in the semi-finals of the lightweight Grand Prix. The fight at Bellator 301 in Chicago ended in a unanimous decision.
The 30-year-old Chablius now has 24 wins and 3 losses. Freire, 37, has 25 wins and 12 losses.
In the final, Chablius will meet current champion Usman Nurmagomedov or American Brent Primus – their fight was previously declared invalid due to an anti-doping rule violation by the Russian. However, Nurmagomedova didn’t deprive champion title.
The preliminary card of the Bellator 301 tournament was won by Russians Timur Khizriev, Ramazan Kuramagomedov and Islam Mamedov.
