45-year-old Alexander Mikhailov was appointed to the position of coach of the Rostov BC “Peresvet-Southern Federal University”. Information about this was published in the social networks of the team.
Alexander Mikhailov began his playing career at the Krasny Kotelshchik basketball club. From 1999 to 2002, he played for Magnitogorsk Metallurg University. After a while, he moved to the Mariupol BC Azovmash. In its composition, Mikhailov won the Cup of Ukraine. Then the basketball player moved to Spartak-Primorye. Together with the team, he entered the Superleague-1, and in 2005 became its winner.
Mikhailov, after completing his career as a basketball player, began working as an assistant to the head coach of BC Dynamo and BC Dynamo Chelyabinsk. Then from 2016 to 2019 he coached Tambov. With him, the team became the champion of Superleague-2.
Previously, the post of coach of “Peresvet-SFedU” was occupied by 41-year-old Momir Tasich. But due to the weak results of the team, the club did not renew the contract with him.
