Chairman of the Board of Directors of SKA Alexander Medvedev believes that at the match of the St. Petersburg team with Avtomobilist on March 25, the referees were not objective. Medvedev’s statement was published on the SKA website.

Medvedev called the removal of goalkeeper Nikita Serebryakov a “flagrant case.” And at the last game, the referees, according to Medvedev, unfairly removed Arseniy Gritsyuk from the field. The SKA board of directors associated the injuries that occurred to the players after yesterday’s match with “missed dirt and unrecorded fouls.”

“I think all referees need to look in the mirror and change their approach to work – with a couple of such decisions you can throw away months of work of dozens of people. Incomprehensibly canceled goals, strange deletions – all this has been going on for a long time, and no one takes responsibility,” Medvedev concluded.

KHL Vice-President Valery Kamensky answered him, as quoted by the Championship. He said that teams should not criticize refereeing, and everyone makes mistakes. Kamensky emphasized that “you need to go out and play.”

In yesterday’s match, which took place at the SKA Arena, Avtomobilist beat Petersburg army team and reached the semi-finals of the Gagarin Cup.
