Over the same period, sales of liqueur wines increased by 2 times (up to 425.5 thousand decalitres), vodka – by 7.1% (up to 49.4 million decalitres), cognac – by 3.9% (up to 7.76 million decalitres). ), champagnes and sparkling wines – by 8% (up to 11.1 million decalitres). Sales of strong drinks also showed growth – by 8.4% (66.75 million decalitres).
In general, alcohol sales (excluding beer, beer drinks, cider, poiret and mead) increased by 8.4% (140 million decaliters) compared to the same period last year.
In comparison with July, in August, Russians bought less champagne and sparkling wine – by 7.7% (up to 1.4 million dal), fruit wine – by 8.2% (859.1 thousand dal), low-alcohol drinks – by 0, 1% (up to 1.4 million dal) and strong alcohol – by 1.3% (9.159 million dal). In August, Russians preferred to drink liqueur wines more often, they were sold 8.3% more (up to 75.5 thousand deciliters). The total sales of alcohol in August compared to July decreased by – 6% (up to 7.5 million decalitres).
