Grozny football club “Akhmat” beat Moscow “Spartak” in the match of the 17th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). This victory allowed the Chechen team to leave the relegation zone.
Among the winners in the game, held at the Akhmat Arena, Russian forward Hamid Agalarov and Bulgarian midfielder Svetoslav Kovachev distinguished themselves. Russian midfielder Anton Zinkovsky scored the only goal for Spartak.
In the 35th minute of the meeting, Spartak’s Spanish coach Guillermo Abascal received a red card for pushing Akhmat player Bernard Berisha. Abascal will miss the next round of the RPL and will not be on the coaching bench of his team.
After today’s meeting, Akhmat left the direct relegation zone from the RPL, rising to 13th place in the standings. After 17 rounds, the Grozny team has 16 points. Moscow “Spartak” remained in seventh place in the table, with 27 points remaining in the team’s assets.
