Akhedzhakova’s lawyer plans to appeal to the Prosecutor General’s Office on a false accusation of “financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine”

“There is an article in the Criminal Code – “False denunciation”

Her lawyer and friend Alexander Maev decided to stop the flow of slander against actress Leah Akhedzhakova. He will ask the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation to check all those who demand to recognize her as a foreign agent, deprive her of awards and bring her for treason, for the presence of corpus delicti under Article 306 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “False denunciation” in their action. Recall that the Investigative Committee is already investigating the case under article 128.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Slander” against unidentified persons, where the victim is Liya Akhedzhakova.

Attacks on the actress snowballed after false information appeared in the media that Akhedzhakova allegedly transferred money to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. On behalf of the actress, fake accounts were created on social networks, where various statements allegedly of her authorship were posted, including about “transferring money”.

Last summer, the police filed a criminal case against unidentified persons. But the investigation was slow. Nobody closed the accounts themselves, and some public figures and the media continued to refer to information from these pages, attributing it to Akhedzhakova.

Thanks to the intervention of the prosecutor’s office, the libel case was transferred to the UK. Liya Akhedzhakova was interrogated as a victim, including who exactly she suspects? The actress hesitated to give names. She spoke like this: “I offended someone, but I don’t know whom.”

But while the criminal case is being investigated, new characters have appeared who demand to punish the actress. And chief among them is Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Security and Anti-Corruption Project.

“The Criminal Code has a corresponding article 306 – “False denunciation,” recalls Maev. “It would be nice if the Prosecutor General’s Office took care of this.”
