Aeroflot airline employees refused to place the child of comedian Ilya Sobolev with his mother in business class, since during check-in he was assigned to his father. This is stated in a message from the press service of the air carrier, which leads “RIA News”.
Earlier, Ilya Sobolev reported on Instagram (owned by the extremist Meta, which is banned in the Russian Federation) that he purchased economy class tickets for his family on the Moscow-Maldives flight, but already at the airport he arranged an upgrade for his wife in order to seat the child with her. The flight attendants refused to transfer the child to his mother.
The company explained that, according to the regulations, a child without a registered seat is assigned to a specific adult passenger when booking. “In accordance with the data from the reservation system, the child was assigned to the father,” the airline explained.
Telegram channel Baza reported that after the incident, the transport prosecutor’s office began an investigation against Aeroflot. According to the document published by the channel, prosecutors must check the airline’s compliance with the rights of passengers with young children.
