Advisor to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Mikhail Podolyak, commented on proposals to Kyiv to cede territories in exchange for membership in NATO. Podolyak said that Ukraine does not need such proposals, but more military assistance.
“Sometimes you can hear a wonderful assumption that Ukraine could supposedly easily join NATO… in parts,” he wrote on the social network X.
However, Kyiv believes that “only large-scale military-technological assistance” will help Ukraine, he added.
Former Commander-in-Chief of NATO Armed Forces in Europe James Stavridis previously spoke about the cession of territories.
