In the past few months, much of the public’s attention has been riveted on how Russian celebrities are speaking about the ongoing events in Ukraine. Nevertheless, actress Yana Poplavskaya believes that real patriotism does not lie at all in discussing the actions of stars, but in helping one’s homeland.
In a recent post on her telegram channel, Poplavskaya noticed that under posts about Galkin, Aug, Urgant, or even Buzova, she had hundreds of comments and thousands of reactions. However, according to the actress, when she writes something about charity, “20 kind people” comment, and the rest will “quietly look” and pass by. She added that many in this case are only able to like.
Poplavskaya does not understand why this is happening. She emphasized that everyone needs help, but when it comes to helping others or spreading information, everyone “disappears somewhere and hides their eyes.” At the same time, the actress clarified that there is no difference in which social network this happens.
The artist concluded that many can “shout about patriotism”, but apparently someone else should do something for the motherland. However, Poplavskaya noted that she understands everything, and this only causes her “ironic smile.”
