Activision Blizzard allowed its games to appear on Xbox Game Pass in 2024 – Kommersant

American company Activision Blizzard statedthat some games from the company’s catalog may become available on the video game subscription service Xbox Game Pass in 2024. The company did not name specific projects, but stated that Diablo IV and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 will not appear on the service until the end of 2023.

Activision Blizzard welcomed player excitement for the upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, but said it plans to add games to Xbox Game Pass throughout 2024. The company plans to make both recently released and upcoming projects available on Game Pass.

Microsoft is expected to will close deal to acquire Activision Blizzard after approval from the British regulator. Microsoft has agreed to buy Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion in January 2022. This deal raised many questions among regulators in the US and UK, after which Microsoft agreed to transfer the rights to distribute all existing and new Activision Blizzard games on cloud streaming services to a competitor in the gaming market, Ubisoft Entertainment. These actions by Microsoft removed the objections of regulators.
