Accused of terrorist attack on BAM arrested until January 30

The Central District Court of Omsk decided to arrest Belarusian citizen Sergei Eremeev until January 30, 2024. He was charged with blowing up two trains in Buryatia on the Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM).
“Elect Eremeeva Sergei Viktorovich <...> a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 1 month 23 days, until January 30, 2024,” the judge said.
Eremeev admitted his guilt in court, confirming that his goal was to paralyze traffic and interfere with the transportation of military cargo.
Earlier it was reported that the hearing would be held in the Kuibyshevsky District Court of Omsk, but later it was moved to the Central District Court.
