Acceptance of applications for deferment from service for IT specialists has begun

Applications are now open for IT professionals who wish to receive a deferment from compulsory military service during the autumn conscription in Russia. As previously reported in the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation, employees of IT companies can submit their applications through the Gosuslugi portal until August 8, and the companies themselves must send lists of employees to the ministry until August 11.
To be eligible for a deferment, IT professionals must meet certain criteria. First of all, they must have Russian citizenship and be in the age group from 18 to 27 years. An additional requirement is the presence of higher education in a specialty that is included in the list approved by the ministry.
In addition, in order to receive a deferral, employees must work in IT companies accredited by the Ministry of Digital Development for at least 11 months during the year preceding the start date of the call. It is important to note that the IT company itself must be accredited by August 11th. In the event that an employee has taken a job with the company within a year of graduation, the seniority requirement does not apply.
