About 30 Moscow schoolchildren passed to the regional stage of the GOSh

The third, regional stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren has started in Russia. (Before that, schoolchildren took part in the school and municipal stages.) This is the most massive and “desired” subject Olympiad for students of secondary educational institutions, since it gives maximum privileges to its winners and prize-winners when entering universities.

In Moscow, about 30 thousand schoolchildren will take part in the regional stage of the GOSh, and the first competitions for some of them have already started: the Olympiad has started in such disciplines as “French language” and “world art culture”. The regional stage of the GOS will last until February 22. The last to take part in it will be the guys speaking in such subjects as “geography” and “technology”.

In total, more than 143 thousand students of grades 7-11 became participants in the municipal stage in the capital, and most often the guys chose mathematics, Russian and English, literature and social studies.

As noted by Ivan Yashchenko, scientific director of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence, children from almost all Moscow schools will take part in the regional stage of the Olympiad.

“Unlike the mass first stages, successful performance at the regional stage requires deep knowledge of the subject, a broad outlook and creative thinking,” said Ivan Yashchenko. – Schoolchildren in the capital will be helped in the preparation of circles, online courses, specialized seminars. These resources enable children not only to broaden their horizons by gaining new knowledge, but also to prepare well for the Olympiads. The tasks of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren were prepared in 24 areas: English, astronomy, biology, geography, computer science, Spanish, history, Italian, Chinese, literature, mathematics, world art culture, German, social science, basics of life safety, law, Russian language, technology (including the new profiles “Robotics” and “Information Security”), physics, physical education, French, chemistry, ecology, economics.
