About 100 thousand residents of Dagestan were left without electricity due to the wind – Kommersant

Emergency power outages occurred in Dagestan yesterday, November 26, in the evening. 99,767 people in 82 settlements were left without electricity, reports regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
By data Ministry of Energy of Dagestan, as of the morning of November 27, the supply of electricity was partially stopped in the Botlikhsky, Derbentsky, Kizilyurtsky, Kurakhsky, Levashinsky, Magaramkentsky and Shamilsky districts, as well as in Kaspiysk and Makhachkala. The situation is under control of the department.
Press service of Dagenergo (branch of Rosseti) reported, that due to strong winds, the company’s power engineers have been switched to a special operating mode. 27 teams, including more than 80 people and 30 pieces of equipment, are involved in emergency restoration work.
On November 27, wind speed up to 15–20 m/s is expected in some places in Dagestan. Snow and strong wind also recorded in Moscow and Moscow region. In Crimea as a result of a storm died one man. In the Krasnodar region the wind knocked down more than 200 trees, there are victims.
