Abnormally low temperatures are expected in 80% of the Russian Federation
According to the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, by the end of the week, temperatures below normal climatic values are expected in 80% of Russia. In the center of the European part of the country, temperatures will drop 12–14°C below average. The first days of the week will be characterized by “very warm” weather, but then a sharp cooling is expected.
In the Urals, western and central Siberia, temperatures will drop 8–14°C below normal values. At the same time, in the Far East, Yakutia and Magadan, a decrease of 4–6°C is expected. In the Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, as well as in the Crimea, the temperature will be close to the climatic norm.
In the continental regions of the south and on the Black Sea coast, “spring-comfortable” weather is expected, but by the end of the week the temperature is also expected to drop there. In the Irkutsk, Amur regions and Transbaikalia, temperatures will be 2–3°C higher than usual.
