A young Transbaikal resident won 2 golds at the Russian badminton competitions

Trans-Baikal resident Ivan Shumeiko won two gold medals at the open All-Russian children’s and youth badminton competitions for the prizes of the Sports Federation for Persons with Musculoskeletal Disabilities. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the region.
The tournament took place in the city of Serpukhov, Moscow region. More than 40 para-badminton players from nine regions of the Russian Federation took part in it.
Ivan Shumeiko won in singles and doubles.
These competitions are an important stage in the preparation of athletes to enter the international level, the organizers noted.
