In the international online tournament “II Cup of the Professional Chess School of Grandmaster Svetlana Cherednichenko,” 387 chess players from 14 countries competed for the right to be the best.
A graduate of the Akimov Children’s Sports School “Kolos” Aidin Elisov literally burst into the top twenty of the tournament’s chess players. He managed to get ahead of more experienced chess players and scored 8.5 points out of 11 possible and took 12th place. This is a great success for the young participant. His coach says that the victory is well-deserved, the teenager is very meticulous about his victories and defeats, and this is what helps him move forward.
Aydin speaksthat playing chess is a very exciting activity. He can play for several hours a day and not notice it at all. He would like to lose all the games and studies of famous grandmasters in order to become one of them in the future. Aydin also wants to play street chess, wander between his favorite chess pieces, and make moves with them himself – that’s his dream.
