This weekend, a young student of sports school No. 1 in Nevinnomyssk, chess player Veronika Bocharnikova, won bronze at the children’s stage of the Russian Cup “Pearl of the Caucasus” in the age category up to 9 years.

As the mayor of the city, Mikhail Minenkov, reported in his Telegram channel, more than 350 chess players from all over Russia took part in the competition.

“I congratulate Veronica and her coach Arthur Grigoryan on their successful performance and wish them further victories!” the mayor of the city addressed the girl.
