An interregional sambo tournament dedicated to the memory of the SVO participant was held in Krymsk. The competition was named after Vladimir Prilipkin.
A master of sports in combat sambo, a student and coach of the Crimean sports school No. 1, became a volunteer and went to the Northern Military District zone in 2022. The man died at the front on March 3, 2023. Vladimir Prilipkin was posthumously presented with the Order of Courage and included in the list of Honorary Citizens of the Crimean region.
At the tournament, the man’s father received a commemorative competition medal from the organizers. Prilipkin’s relatives also donated the deceased’s sports awards to Children’s Sports School No. 1.
Kuban and Karachay-Cherkess sambo wrestlers took part in the tournament. The competitions took place in 12 weight categories. The winners of the competition were athletes from Novorossiysk and Krymsk.
“I’m sure these competitions will become annual,” said Deputy Governor Alexander Vlasov.
Let us remind you that the day before in the Kuban capital among the rowers played Krasnodar Region Cup.
